FAQs

Ordering/Logging In

Our website doesn't work with the AOL and Netscape browsers so please keep that in mind.

Q. I can't log in, it keeps giving me  Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password.

A. This means that you have either forgotten your password or maybe you placed your previous order without signing up for an account. Click here to request a new password or there is a link right beneath the password field that says "forgot your password"? Click on that and enter your e-mail address and it will send you a system generated temporary password. Make sure after that you've requested a temporary password that you check your junk/spam folder if you haven't received an e-mail from us within 1 minute.  Enter that password EXACTLY as in the e-mail into the password field.  Once you get logged in, click on the my account link on the right side of the page. From there, click on the change my account password link and then change your password to whatever you want. If you've placed an order originally using the checkout without an account then you'll have to use that again as our system keeps the e-mail on file and won't allow you to sign upfor an account. If you wanty to sign up for an account then we can delete the previous order on file if you send us an e-mail requesting so.

Q. Why can't I place my order, help!?! Every time I put something in my cart its not showing up or its saying I have to enable cookies or it just keeps going around in circles and emptying my cart !

A. First of all please clear the cache and enable cookies in your browser as you probably haven't shopped on our site in awhile and we've upgraded to a more secure version of our website that requires that you accept cookies. If you're using Internet Explorer version 6, please upgrade to the newest version and you'll see a night and day difference in your internet experience and speed. Virtually no company supports IE 6 anymore because of its bugs so please upgrade.   In the process, the old links that you may have accessed our site with in the past from your favorites bar may not work. If you are having trouble checking out, please type in our web address of www.locarbu.com and then log in and everything should be perfect. Sorry for any hassle but its a necessary growing pain for us. Please also make sure that you have cookies enabled (see next post for how to)and Java enabled. Both of these things are for your security and for us to know that you are who you say you are and it remembers what you put in your cart among other things. If you have no idea what either of these things are, there should be a help tab on your browser that should be able to help you turn them on. If all else fails and you still can't complete your order, please call us toll free at 877-562-2728.

Q. I'm ordering tofu shirataki noodles in a 10 or 20 pack with nothing else, when I click on free shipping during checkout, it keeps going back to the shipping options in a loop.

A. When ordering 10 or 20 packs of noodles and nothing else, the default shipping is free shipping so there is no need to click on the free shipping option, it automatically puts the shipping at free.

Shipping/Bread/Chocolate

Q. Do all of your breads need to be shipped using a faster method than flat rate during spring/summer/early fall?

A. The Carb Krunchers, Western Bagel, Toufayan and Chompies breads and bagels are fine for flat rate shipping when its hot.  This could change at some point if we start getting spoilage but judging from past experience they are pretty durable with heat.

Q. Which shipping option should I choose to order Healthwise and Julian Bakery bread items during warm months?

A.  Healthwise Zero Carb Breads, Bagels, Pizza Crust, Pita Bread, Hamburger and Hot Dog Buns are very sensitive to heat as well as the Julian Bakery Bread. 3 days is the maximum time that they should be shipped unfrozen so you're okay only if you live in CA,AZ,NV,OR,WA,UT,ID. Otherwise you need faster shipping than flat rate. With the flat rate or fedex ground(home delivery) option, it takes roughly 4-5 business days to get anywhere from Colorado to the east coast. We would not recommend this as it will probably spoil. The USPS priority Large flat rate box is the best option for this kind of bread. We can fit up to four loaves of bread in this box and it arrives on average 2-3 days. If you're ordering 8 loaves of bread or bags of bagels, choose the x2 USPS priority bread option at $27.90. There is also fedex express super saver option which is 3 day shipping but is usually more expensive.

Q.Why do your Healthwise and Julian breads spoil so quickly in the heat, are they old?

A. Short answer, no they are very fresh. We order huge shipments of bread about every 2 weeks or so and they are frozen the whole time until they are shipped to you. Healthwise and Julian brands have virtually no preservatives in them which is good for you but bad for shipping them when its hot.

Q. I want to order Healthwise or Julian Bakery bread items by flat rate shipping and I live in Florida, can you replace my bread if it spoils?

A. If you choose flat rate shipping and are ordering healthwise/Julian bread items and live east of Utah, we will make every attempt to contact you to switch your shipping to a faster method so that your breads don't spoil. If you absolutely want us to ship it using the slowest method, we will but only after we receive in writing(e-mail) that you'll release us from liability of spoiled bread.

Q. I want to order some eat rite frozen pizzas, rapps and meals, why do I need to order a minimum of 24 and why is the shipping so expensive at $45.00 to Texas?

A. The eat rite frozen items are shipped directly from the manufacturer in a cooler with ice packs etc. In order for them to do this, 24 items is the minimum amount to make it worthwhile for them. The cost is not that bad considering they are sending frozen food using 2-3 day shipping. The more items that you order the less shipping is per unit. For instance if you ordered 50 pizzas, shipping would only be an extra $5.00 vs only ordering 24 pizzas so find some friends to go in on it with you.

Q. I ordered some chocolate/nutrition bars from you but it arrived melted, what can you do (spring/summer)?

A. Unfortunately, during warm weather months, chocolate does melt and there is nothing that we can do about it. We recommend choosing overnight shipping if possible and if the chocolate does arrive squishy, put it in the refrigerator to let it solidify.
